Beat.
Beat.
Pump.
Air in.
Air out.
I'm still alive.
The time ticks on.
The bird still mocks.

Do You Get It?
"And the LORD said to me, 'This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no one shall enter by it, for the LORD God of Israel has entered by it; therefore it shall be shut." 44:2
A new temple is going to be built, once the faithful LORD rescued His rebellious people from the Babylonian captivity. It was crucial for the priests and people to follow every detail that the LORD laid out for them, especially in regards to the temple. Why? Because the LORD's very presence dwelled there. The HOLY I AM. To do anything less then what He required was trecherous. Do you get it? Holy. No one can enter even the same gate.
"And they shall not come near to Me to serve as a priest to Me, nor come near to any of My holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they shall bear their shame and ther abominations which they have committed. Yet I will appoint them to keep charge of the house, of all its service, and of all that shall be done in it." 44:13-14
Even the priests were not worthy to fulfill their role as a priest. "Their ways before Me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity." 36:16 This very tribe that was set apart to minister to the LORD in all the ways He had laid out for them, defiled Him. Yet, ha, God in His astounding grace kept a place for them to still point to His holiness. They still were to serve in His house where He dwelled and keep it pure. Do you get it? Worthy. More than enough to demand there to be a house and a people completly devoted to serving the
Holy I AM.
"And it shall be with regard to an inheritance for them, that I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel - I am their possession." 44:28
The greatest possession for the priest was to be the very first fruit offerings given to God. God was their greatest reward. The very act of serving Him. He was to be all they lived for. So much so that they did not even get an inheritance like others so that the Holy I AM clearly was their all.
Do you get it? The Holy I AM no longer dwells in temples made by man but in those He died for. We have been treacherous towards God and have defiled His name countless times. We were far from pure. We could not even enter into God's presence. Yet, ha, yet Jesus forgives are sin and cleanses our filth by giving us His righteousness. And then, the very LORD, the Holy I AM, who did not even let those priests who had defiled His name act as priest - the worthy One who could not be in the same inner court as sinners, now dwells in temples of clay that have been prepared by Jesus' precious blood. I stand in awe....
All glory to You Lord.
Who is worthy of affection.
Who is our great reward - our possession.
Let adoration fill us.
Holy are You Lord.
